Hotel checkout is at 11 a.m., but your flight from Incheon Airport is not until the evening. You still have half a day in Seoul — and one large suitcase that suddenly decides where you can eat, where you can sit, and how many subway stairs you are willing to climb.
That is exactly the final-day problem Easy Drop Korea is meant to solve.
With Easy Drop, eligible travelers can complete baggage check-in at an off-airport location before going to Incheon Airport. Your checked suitcase is transferred securely to the airport and loaded for your flight, while you continue the day with only your hand luggage.
In other words: your luggage can leave for the airport before you do.
It is not right for every flight, because airline, route, terminal, and time restrictions apply. But when your trip fits the rules, it can turn an awkward checkout-to-airport gap into a real final afternoon in Korea.

Can You Really Check Your Luggage in Seoul Before Going to Incheon Airport?
1. Easy Drop sends your checked bag to your flight — not just to the airport
Easy Drop is an off-airport baggage check-in service officially listed by Incheon International Airport.
At the designated location, staff confirm your identity and flight, process the baggage tag, check and seal the suitcase, and transfer it to Incheon Airport. You collect it after arriving at your destination, just as you would with a suitcase checked at the airport.

That is the key difference: this is not a delivery service that leaves your bag somewhere at Incheon for you to pick up before departure.
Once the suitcase has been accepted, plan as if you will not see it again until baggage claim.
2. Easy Drop is different from ordinary luggage storage
If you only need somewhere to leave a suitcase for a few hours and want to collect it again before heading to the airport, ordinary storage may be simpler.
Korea has hotel storage, subway lockers, T-Luggage counters, station services, and airport storage. You can compare them in our Luggage Storage in Korea guide.
Easy Drop solves a different problem: you hand over the checked bag and keep moving forward. There is no return trip to the hotel, locker, or storage counter.
In Korea, we often judge convenience by dongseon — your actual route. A cheaper option is not very convenient if it sends you across Seoul and back again.
Where Can You Use Easy Drop in Seoul?
3. The main Seoul locations are Myeongdong, Hongdae, and Samseong
For most visitors staying in central Seoul, these are the useful locations:
| Location | Where to look | Current hours | T1 cutoff | T2 cutoff |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Myeongdong | Luggage Less Store in Myeongdong | 09:00–16:00 | 3 hr 30 min before departure | 4 hr before departure |
| Hongdae | Holiday Inn Express Seoul Hongdae, 1F lobby | 07:30–16:30 | 3 hr before departure | 3 hr 30 min before departure |
| Samseong | City Airport Terminal at Samseong Station | 07:00–16:00 | 4 hr 30 min before departure | 5 hr before departure |
All three are currently closed on Wednesdays and public holidays.
You may notice that the signs are not identical. Easy Drop is the service name. The Myeongdong and Samseong locations use LUGGAGE LESS branding, while the Hongdae point is presented as an Easy Drop location. Incheon Airport lists Lotte Global Logistics Co., Ltd. as the service provider.
So if you arrive in Myeongdong and see LUGGAGE LESS instead of a giant Easy Drop sign, you are not necessarily in the wrong place.
4. Counter hours do not automatically mean your flight is eligible
This is the easiest part to misunderstand.
Seeing “open until 4 p.m.” does not mean you can arrive at 3:50 p.m. with any evening flight. Each location has its own terminal-based flight cutoff, and baggage is moved to the airport on scheduled vehicles.
Check in this order:
- airline
- destination
- Incheon terminal
- flight departure time
- location-specific cutoff
The official airport page also notes additional departure-time restrictions tied to the transport schedule, so verify your exact flight before building the day around the service.
Which Airlines and Flights Can Use Easy Drop Korea?
5. Seven airlines currently participate
Incheon Airport currently lists Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Jeju Air, Trinity Airways, Jin Air, Cathay Pacific, and Eastar Jet.
Travelers who remember T’way Air may see a different name now: the airline has rebranded as Trinity Airways.
Korean Air and Asiana Airlines passengers must complete web or mobile self check-in before using the service.
The service is for international departures from Incheon Airport, but routes to the Americas are excluded, including Guam and Saipan.
6. Pack your small bag as if the suitcase is already gone
Before handing over your suitcase, keep your passport, phone, wallet, boarding pass or mobile check-in access, medication, valuables, power bank, and anything you may still need before boarding.

If you are planning a tax refund, think twice before sending away purchases or documents that may still be needed at the airport. Our Incheon Airport tax refund guide explains that process.
Special baggage is generally restricted. The current airport guidance notes exceptions for golf bags on Jeju Air and Eastar Jet, but confirm the latest rule before arriving with sports equipment or oversized baggage.
There is also a limited next-morning option. The airport currently says Jeju Air, Trinity Airways, and Jin Air can accept baggage for certain next-morning departures when mobile check-in has been completed.
Easy Drop or Seoul Station City Airport Terminal?
7. They solve a similar problem, but the best choice depends on your route
The Seoul Station City Airport Terminal and Easy Drop can both reduce the amount of luggage you take toward Incheon Airport, but the travel flow is different.
Seoul Station makes sense when the station and AREX Express Train already fit your departure route. Easy Drop can be more attractive when your hotel or final sightseeing area is around Myeongdong, Hongdae, or Samseong.
If you are staying in Hongdae, sending the suitcase from Hongdae and spending the afternoon nearby may be much more pleasant than crossing Seoul just to deal with luggage.
If Seoul Station is already your natural departure point, compare the options first. Our Seoul Station luggage guide explains the station services in more detail.
Is It Worth Paying to Get Your Last Afternoon Back?
8. The standard price is currently KRW 35,000 per checked bag
KRW 35,000 for one suitcase is not a tiny convenience fee.
If you are checking out and going straight to the airport anyway, I would keep the money.
But if checkout is at 11 a.m. and your flight is at 8 or 9 p.m., the calculation changes. With a large suitcase, every stop becomes a question: Does this restaurant have space? Is there an elevator at that subway exit? Do I have to go back and collect the bag?
You are not only paying to move a suitcase. You are paying to remove the suitcase from the rest of the day.

How Would I Plan the Last Day Around Easy Drop?
9. Keep the final day simple: send the bag, enjoy one area, then leave
I would not use a luggage-free afternoon as an excuse to squeeze six more attractions into the trip.
A better flow is:
Hotel checkout → Easy Drop → lunch → one neighborhood → coffee or last shopping → Incheon Airport

If you use Myeongdong, stay around central Seoul. If you use Hongdae, enjoy Hongdae or Yeonnam-dong before heading west toward the airport. If you use Samseong, spend the remaining time around Gangnam or COEX.
The goal is not to “win” one more sightseeing day. It is to stop the last few hours of your Korea trip from turning into luggage management.
Leave enough time for the airport even though the checked bag has gone ahead. You still need to travel to Incheon, pass security and immigration, handle any tax-refund plans, and reach your gate.
Final Thoughts
Easy Drop will not fit every traveler, airline, or departure time. And if your hotel can hold your suitcase until you leave for the airport, free storage may be all you need.
But for the right schedule, it can change how the last part of the trip feels.
Send your suitcase ahead. Enjoy one more favorite meal, take one last walk, or sit down for coffee without worrying about your luggage.
Then leave for Incheon Airport with enough time to finish the remaining departure steps without rushing.
I hope your last memory of Korea is something you enjoyed, not the feeling of dragging a suitcase through a station.
Have a safe flight home — and come back to Korea again someday.
FAQ
Do I need to reserve Easy Drop in advance?
The official Incheon Airport guide says Easy Drop is available through advance reservation or on-site registration. I would still reserve ahead when possible, especially if your final-day plan depends on it.
Can I use Easy Drop for a flight the next morning?
Sometimes. Incheon Airport currently states that Jeju Air, Trinity Airways, and Jin Air can accept baggage for certain next-morning departures when mobile check-in has been completed. Do not assume this applies to other airlines.
Can I send oversized or special baggage?
Generally, no. Special baggage is restricted. The official guidance currently notes that golf bags are accepted for Jeju Air and Eastar Jet, but confirm the latest rule before traveling to the counter.
Do I still need to arrive at Incheon Airport early?
Yes. Easy Drop removes the checked-suitcase step, but not airport travel time, security screening, immigration, tax-refund procedures, duty-free pickup, or the walk to your gate.
Is Easy Drop the same as Luggage Less?
Not exactly. Easy Drop is the off-airport baggage check-in service. LUGGAGE LESS is the customer-facing brand used at the Myeongdong and Samseong locations. The Hongdae point is presented as an Easy Drop location, and Incheon Airport lists Lotte Global Logistics as the service provider.
